Why did you join the Sports Academy and how?

I found out about the academy online and got more information from Careers Wales. I joined because I love sport and have a huge interest in becoming a coach, this course looked and sounded appealing.

Best thing about MPCT and how the course will help you in the future?

The best thing about the course is that all the learning involved is active which is something that I didn’t get in school. I feel that this helps me learn better, and more quickly. This course not only provides the opportunity to work towards qualifications in sport and fitness but my tutors have a massive variety of contacts within the sporting community that give me the best opportunity to find a work-placement, apprenticeship and hopefully employment.

Life after MPCT, what do you plan to do next?

After I finish my time at the Sports Academy I hope to find employment as a sports coach, preferably football as I feel that is my strongest sport. I’d also like to keep working towards gaining more qualifications in the coaching industry to better my knowledge and ability.

Why did you join the Sports Academy and how?

I was looking to get my career kicked off with qualifications to do with sports, I heard from friends that MPCT had started in Tonyrefail and went along for a taster day. Straight away I knew this was the type of course was right for me, I really enjoy the way the lessons are delivered and how practical the course is.

Best thing about MPCT and how the course will help you in the future?

The best thing about MPCT is that it is all based around sports and fitness which has always been my biggest interest. Hopefully the course will help get me a job with sports and active leisure as I will be qualified and have the skills needed to succeed.

Life after MPCT, what do you plan to do next?

I will pass my Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure to a high standard, this will then help me be selected to work towards my Gym Instructor qualification at Level 2. As soon as I start my Gym Instructor qualification I would like to start a work placement.

Why did you join the Sports Academy and how?

I joined the sports academy to help me achieve qualifications in sports coaching and also maintain a healthy active lifestyle.

Best thing about MPCT and how the course will help you in the future?

The best thing about MPCT for me is how active it keeps me. Not just physically but also mentally, always keeping us active even during lessons by incorporating an activity to keep things fresh in my mind. The variety of sports helps me develop skills such as leadership, timing, communication and teamwork to name a few. All these skills are transferable to many other jobs especially jobs I would like to pursue such as a sports coach. This course will help me get closer to this by providing necessary qualifications and opportunities to put my skills into practice.

Life after MPCT, what do you plan to do next?

After MPCT I hope to gain employment in sports coaching as a Sports Teacher or Teaching Assistant. I plan on using the qualifications that I have gained from this course to hopefully make this goal become a reality.
