We all know that technological innovation is driving change in our world today, but what we don’t know, is how this change will impact on the labour market of tomorrow. This uncertainty makes it challenging for our young people to understand what skills they will require in order to thrive in tomorrow’s labour market. Then consider that the jobs most at risk of automation are low-paid and low-skilled and you see the problem when trying to create equitable employment for all. We are committed to helping those young people achieve equitable employment opportunities, which is why we are establishing a number of our Motivational Preparation Colleges in Scotland (MPCS).
Our vision is to ‘prepare the champions of Scotland’s Future Workforce’. We recognise that such a vision will require the collaborative efforts of a broad range of like minded organisations and individuals. To help us foster these relationships we have insight events planned for Edinburgh and Glasgow in November, where we will showcase what we accomplish and how this supports our vision for Scotland.
We educate our learners enabling them to make use of the knowledge they have gained in a challenging, exciting but safe environment promoting skills development and the application of those skills in different scenarios. This exploration provides learners with the confidence to adapt their behaviour to environmental conditions and recognise the importance of communication, collaboration and effective team cohesion.
What makes us unique, is that we use a military training model which provides the conditions we need to gain the best from our learners and we use only experienced military veterans to deliver our programme. We are an award-winning training education organisation with a 92% progression rate into employment, with over 20 years’ experience. We believe that preparing young people for success in life requires more than employability skills, which is why our programme includes responsible citizenship and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.
