MPCT Charity Golf Day 2020 Update
27th July 2020
We have been forced for obvious reason, to postpone this year’s original date in August and now have an alternative date of 22 Oct 20. We have been working with the Celtic Manor to negotiate and ensure that they are able to provide the same level of quality and experience that we have delivered at previous events and this date in October will allow them to do so! The price this year will remain at the £100 per player for the whole day. As you can appreciate, we must be in a position to go full steam ahead with the planning for the event now and to gain an understanding to the appetite and commitment from you, the players and the corporate sponsors we have worked with in the past. The support from our Corporate Sponsors has also allowed the event to be open and available to the clients and supporters who we wished to attract and this year we would once again welcome and encourage our previous corporate sponsors to return with their clients and support.
This year’s plan will be a similar format, which is very much about enjoying yourself for the casual golfers and a competition for the more serious players.
The match will be a Pairs combined Stableford score format off a maximum 28 Hdcp.
All the Par 3s (5 of them) will be a nearest the pin opportunity and hopefully they are all being sponsored by the MonMotors Group – Cardiff and Bristol Audi
The Longest Drives will hopefully once again be sponsored by Rockadove and will be on the 8th and 18th holes.
The Chipping Competition on the 19th is kindly being sponsored by Wedge Galvernizers and is a chance for all golfers to play a shot from the 19th Hole onto the 18th green (giving a small donation to the Charity), a huge success last year!
There will also be a winner and runner up prize for the pest Pair and Single player on the day, subject to the Hdcp Committee exposing any potential Bandits!
Our ask to you would be to give us an initial indication of your availability and intention to join us once again this year on the new date of 22nd October 2020. I would be grateful if you were able to send us notification of your intentions by completing the survey link below by 31 July 2020.
