All training is delivered through a military theme providing the learner with the opportunity to develop their literacy and numeracy skills in a meaningful manner.
MPCT Skills Instructors provide support so that learners grow in confidence and progress into their chosen careers.
The role typically involves: managing a caseload of learners undertaking Functional Skills qualifications assessing learners’ skills and discussing goals monitoring and assessing students’ work using techniques to manage the learning process delivering team teaching and discrete teaching sessions (where appropriate). maintaining records guiding and supporting vocational instructors with the delivery of skills.
Applicants would be required to interview, assess and teach all levels of basic skills as part of a BTEC Public Services qualification. This person will be seen as a role model by the young people.
The teaching aspect of the position is a key element in the role as applicants would be required to interview, assess, and teach all levels of basic skills as part of a BTEC qualification.
The programme also has a military/fitness and outdoor education element so candidates will need to lead a fit healthy lifestyle and enjoy physical activity as part of the delivery of the programme.
The role requires the skills to engage, motivate and educate young people as you will be seen as a role model.
Experience in delivering in a classroom environment would be an advantage.
The following qualifications and competencies are desired (training will be given): PTLLS, CTTLS, DTTLS. Level 3 certificate in Teaching Basic Skills (9483/9484) PGCE/Cert Ed. Teaching degree or qualified teacher status. Military knowledge/experience

Essential: Fluent Welsh Speaker
Salary: £18,525 - £25,000pa depending on experience
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can help us change young peoples lives.
We want individuals who will enjoy speaking to young people about the opportunities we have to offer, supporting them on their journey and progressing their education and career aspirations.
You would become part of a small team working in an office environment.
We believe each individual call should be given the time it deserves assisting supporting potential new and current students through the enrolment process and overall Learner experience.
The role:
We are looking for at one fluent Welsh speaker who wants to work in an exciting, and energetic environment and have a real passion for delivering excellent customer service, advice and guidance.
This role will be heavily biased towards telephone work (outgoing and incoming) and you will act as the first point of contact for all Learners, parents and gatekeepers. You will provide critical administration support to learners across all services by Responding and contacting warm leads generated by our website. Logging notes on conversations held and tracking response on a database. Email/Text correspondence. Document typing/preparation. Appointment organisation. Database administration and data entry Audits Registration of learners for vocational and skills qualifications through awarding bodies Supporting Learners with financial applications and processing. GDPR compliance
Essential: Confident and able to communicate clearly. Highly Computer literate. Excellent listening skills Good attention to detail. 1 x Fluent Welsh Speaker
Desirable: 1 – 2 years of experience within a fast moving office environment or from a call centre environment (full training will be given on knowledge of courses available) The motivation to go above-and-beyond for our customers Excellent organisational skills

MPCT Learning Support Assistants (LSA) will provide support so that learners grow in confidence and progress into their chosen careers.
This position involves learner led funding and will only be funded whilst the individual being supported attends MPCT.
Job Purpose:
To provide education and organisational support to instructors, guide students during structured and non- structured sessions and assist students to achieve their full potential. You will be a key worker which involves you working on a one to one/group basis. You will support a learner(s) with their individual learning programmes and working closely with parents and other agencies.
The Learning Support Assistant will work according to the values and beliefs of MPCT.
Main Roles:
to work with various EHCP and offer support. Support a small group of learners in all academic activities Support learners with dyslexia with their literacy and memory skills. Support learners with their maths skills as required. Break down instructions and tasks for the learners. Act as a key person for the learners to talk to about their emotions and difficulties. Experience in a teaching support role and EHCP would be an advantage.
Job Type: This position involves learner led funding and will only be funded whilst the individual being supported attends MPCT.
Part time - 15 hours per week
