Armed Forces Week 2024 – A Thank You from MPCT

Today marks the start of Armed Forces Week 2024. With a large military provision, we would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation to all armed forces personnel, past and present. The Armed Forces community work around the clock to protect our way of life and defend UK interests at home and overseas.

This week is a special time to recognise the important work done by the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. Each branch of the Ministry of Defence plays a crucial role in protecting our nation, promoting peace, and delivering aid worldwide.

Partnering with the British Armed Forces

At MPCT, we are extremely grateful for these forces’ support. Our valuable partnerships with each branch ensure that our training provision is of the highest quality and consistently in line with the evolving roles and demands of the British Armed Forces.

Training the next generation of personnel

We’re dedicated to providing young people across England and Wales access to free, high-quality military training to prepare them for a career in the armed forces. In our 35 MPCT academies, we equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required in the armed forces, providing the steps for them to reach their dream career, whatever it may be.

The academies are designed to give young people the experience of learning in a real-life military environment and the curriculum has been designed to develop their physical fitness, essential skills and self-confidence to ensure their success in their futures in the Armed Forces.

The courses are at no cost to the young people due to government funding and learners do not need any previous qualifications or fitness level to enrol, the academy will work at a level that is suitable to the individual learner.

Supporting those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces

We’re also proud to be an Armed Forces Covenant Employer, with a Gold accreditation for Learning Curve Group and Platinum for MPCT. This pledge displays our dedication to supporting those who serve or have served in our nation’s Armed Forces. We remain committed to this pledge and to remembering those who have died in service with the Armed Forces.

All of our MPCT staff across all levels are ex Armed Forces personnel, with years of military experience. We know that this way, the young people who attend our MPCT academies will gain invaluable insights from our staff who have lived experience of the whole military process, from the application stage and the journey up through the ranks.

Our experienced instructors are dedicated to supporting our learners beyond their journey with us at our academy and by also supporting their application for their military placement.

Celebrating our colleagues who have served

To celebrate this week and commemorate the hard work of the ex-force personnel who serve at our academies, training the future generation of soldiers, pilots, and military personnel, we’re proud to be able to share some of our colleague’s amazing stories throughout the week. Make sure to keep an eye out on our social media channels for these!

If you or your child is interested in joining one of our unique MPCT academies, get in touch with help@learningcurvegroup.co.uk or ring 0330 111 3939.
