MPC Bridgend to run 50KM for MLT & Dreams and Wishes

Military Preparation College Bridgend are running a 50km challenge next week on the 17th-21st of September. The students will run 10km a day raising money for our very own Motivation & Learning Trust, as well as another charity called Dreams and Wishes which supports seriously ill children and their families.   Tony Curtis MBE and Sarah Griffiths (Ambassador) from Dreams and Wishes came in to talk to the learners about the charity on Wednesday, which Centre Manager Steve Tallis said was an emotional and worthwhile experience, motivating the Learners even further.  The Welsh Guards also visited the college (as pictured) as they are supporting the college in the event.

On the Friday 21st of September when the learners finish, they will have food provided for them by a local veteran Tom Weaver for them all. Tom is part of Bridgend’s Disabled Veterans Random Act of Kindness Group, he has seen all the good work the students do and feel they should be rewarded. Well done to MPC Bridgend for all their efforts so far. We can’t wait to watch this event grow!
