Pushing Limits, Building Futures: MPCT Learners Take on Woolley Edge Expedition.

Last month (15th – 18th September) our MPCT learners took on an expedition at Woolley Edge Camp, located between Barnsley and Wakefield. The learners were joined by the Army Outreach Team, embarking on a number of challenges putting them through their paces.

The week was full of command tasks that pushed teamwork and problem solving, to camouflage and concealment, where learners discovered how to blend into their environment. They also got hands on with section drills and even weapons training, giving them a real insight into military style skills and discipline.

Every activity including abseiling, airsofting, and rock-climbing, tested resilience, teamwork and leadership, core parts of preparing for a career in the military. The week saw learners stepping up, supporting each other, and showing just what they’re capable of. After a day of strenuous exercise, learners were rewarded with a BBQ, where they got to unwind and socialise with their teammates.

Our Military Preparation and Training Academies ensure young people aiming for a career in the Armed Forces, or simply wanting to build confidence, fitness, and life skills that last a lifetime, feel supported for future employment.

📢 Enrolments are still open! If you, or someone you know, is looking for an alternative to traditional college, now is the time to take the leap. With limited spaces available, secure your place at an MPCT Military Academy today and begin your journey towards a brighter, more confident future. 🫡
