I joined the MPCT Aldershot in June 2021 as a temporary part-time Learning Support Assistant. I also work part-time as a Technician in Design & Technology at a local secondary school.

It is a privilege to be here with such a great team and an incredibly enthusiastic group of young people with varying aspirations.

I have served with Surrey Police as a Police Community Support Officer, which always threw up new situations and no two days were the same. Every day involved community engagement of some sort by means of foot patrols, reassurance visits to victims of crime and crime reduction through visible presence.

The elements I enjoyed most were team working and representing them in athletics, where I competed in distances from cross country to marathon.

I also ran for Dorking & Mole Valley Athletics Club for many years and whilst running is still a big part of my life, I enjoy open water swimming and road cycling.

Learning Welsh is another one of my interests and I am working towards fluency. I have been visiting Snowdonia to go hill walking ever since I was young. Wales is a country that I have grown more and more fond of, interested in, and connected to.

My husband has been serving in the British Army for 33 years and between us we have 3 grown up children – 2 daughters and a son.
