Phil started with MPCT in March 2012 having been previously employed as a RAF Regiment gunner.
A native of North Wales, he was born in Hawarden in 1970 and grew up in Connahs Quay.
Phil joined the RAF as an RAF Regiment gunner and completed a highly-successful 22 year career which ended in January of 2012.
During his military service he worked as far afield as Catterick; Germany; East Anglia and South Wales amongst others.
He has experience of RAF Regiment Field squadrons, Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked (CVRT), skills instruction, leadership and management training/delivery and personal development training delivery.
Honours received during his service include the Iraq Medal, RAF LS & GCM and HM The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. As a Combined Services (CS) Hockey Player I represented the CS at Hockey for approximately 3 years from 1996 – 1999. Phil also represented the Royal Air Force (RAF) at Hockey for approximately 12 years from 1995 – 2007.
During which he represented the RAF in many national county championships, Inter-Service competitions at both indoor and outdoor hockey. In these pursuits he has also travelled to Holland, Germany, Cyprus, South Africa and India to represent the RAF at hockey.
