SAS veteran and influencer, Phil Campion, partners with MPCT to empower future soldiers.

Phil Campion, a veteran with an extensive background in military operations, has partnered with military preparation college, MPCT. to inspire future generations of armed forces personnel.

Campion has more than 71,000 followers on Instagram, where he motivates and inspires people through content focussed on mental health, fitness, and the military lifestyle. He is also a media commentator and best-selling author and is well-known for his role as the host of ‘The Debrief Podcast’.

The military influencer will be using his platform to promote the opportunities available to young people through the 50+ MPCT academies across England and Wales.

Phil’s passion for inspiring future generations stems from his 15 years serving in the Armed Forces, during which he completed tours across the world and finished his time as a badged member of 22 SAS.

Drawing from his own experiences in leadership and followership and witnessing firsthand the impact of MPCT on his own family members, Campion is eager to support the college’s mission of creating better citizens through fitness, vocational qualifications, and employability skills training.

Phil, who was brought up in a children’s home, says “I see myself in many of MPCT’s learners, coming from a disrupted childhood and not always fitting in with the traditional education background.”

“I’ve had a huge respect for MPCT for a long time– what they do really makes a difference – so it’s a real pleasure to be working with them now.”

Now, Phil wants to “give back where [he] can”, as he expressed that he is on a personal mission to empower the young people of today by drawing on his own experiences and life skills that he acquired during his career.

His partnership with MPCT aims to support recruitment and the national and local NEET agenda, promote visibility of MPCT’s offerings, and deliver bespoke enrichment opportunities across MPCT Academies.

Two of Phil’s family attended MPCT Southampton, and he has championed the training provider from a distance for many years, as an advocate for its transformative programmes.

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MPCT and Phil, Campion will actively promote MPCT’s initiatives, participate in community events as a brand ambassador, and leverage his social media platforms to amplify MPCT’s message.

He will also visit MPCT Academies nationwide to share his inspirational story and offer support to learners.

MPCT, which is a subsidiary of national education and training provider, Learning Curve Group, is a unique training college dedicated to helping 16+ year olds develop their fitness, vocational skills, and employability, with a focus on preparing them for rewarding careers in the British Armed Forces. Through its military-style approach, MPCT instils discipline, resilience, and a sense of civic duty in its learners, preparing them for success in both military and civilian life.
