MPCT Senior Leadership Team Awards’ resounding success

For the last two weeks, members of MPCT Head Office have been travelling across England and Wales to host regionalised Senior Leadership Team Awards. This is a chance for our outstanding Staff across our centres to be recognised for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

The first event was held on Thursday 6th of December for the South England colleges which saw Military Preparation Colleges Croydon, Battersea, Edgware, Southampton, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Eastbourne, Aldershot, Gloucester and Bristol come together for what was a fantastic day of showcasing achievements. A workshop format during the day and reflection of the year took place, which was then followed by the awards during dinner in the evening. This format was the same for all three SLT Award Ceremonies. A special mention should go to MPC Croydon who won College of the Year, and MPC Eastbourne’s Chris Padget for Employee of the Year.

The second SLT Awards followed on Tuesday 11th December, which saw our North East colleges at their first ever SLT Awards, alongside our Central Region colleges MPC Wrexham, Bangor, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Liverpool and Birmingham. This too was a hugley successful evening with MPC Wrexham taking home College of the Year and Paul Evans of MPC Birmingham taking home Employee of the Year.

The third and final SLT Awards were hosted on Thursday the 13th of December for our South Wales centres. Attendees were MPCT Sports & Exercise College, Sports Apprenticeships, MPC Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil and Military Preparation Schools. Colleges of the Year were MPS Cardiff, MPC Bridgend and Rhondda Sports & Exercise College. Employees of the Year were MPS’ Andrew Harris, MPC Swansea’s Justin Edwards and Alex Webber of MPCT Rhondda Sports & Exercise College.

The events were an honour to attend and a huge congratulations should be said to every single MPCT employee in attendance. Thank you for all your hard work and a very Merry Christmas to you all.
